Our Founder’s Story 🌿
Oaks+Willow Day School was born from motherhood, from vision, and from two little girls whose personalities inspired the very heart of this school.
As a mom, I found myself dreaming of a place where childhood could remain soft and joyful while still providing the strong educational foundation families desire for their children. I wanted a school that felt warm yet elevated, nurturing yet intentional, and rooted in meaningful relationships that help children feel deeply known and valued.
That vision became personal through my daughters, Harper Joy and Symphony Joy.
Harper Joy embodies the spirit of the oak tree, steady, grounded, thoughtful, and quietly strong. She reminds me of the importance of creating roots: confidence, security, character, and resilience that children can carry with them throughout their lives. Like the oak, she represents stability, strength, and the kind of presence that makes others feel safe and supported.
Symphony Joy, on the other hand, dances through life with the gentle wonder of a willow tree. She is imaginative, expressive, curious, and beautifully free-spirited. She reminds me that childhood should be filled with creativity, movement, joy, and room to dream. Like willow branches swaying in the breeze, she reflects flexibility, beauty, and the magic of embracing the world with open-hearted curiosity.
Together, they became the inspiration behind Oaks+Willow Day School.
This school was created to honor both sides of childhood, the strong roots children need to grow with confidence and the freedom to explore, imagine, and become fully themselves. Oaks+Willow is a place where children are nurtured with intention, guided with warmth, and encouraged to grow into who they were uniquely created to be.
Every classroom, every tradition, every relationship, and every detail has been thoughtfully designed with that vision in mind.
